The 2010 Manila amendment to STCW require that Masters and Watchkeeping Navigating Officers sailing with ECDIS are qualified in its use. This e-learning module, dealing with ECDIS, will introduce the user to the features on the ECDIS display, particularly focusing on the display of depth information which will enable an Operator to set up the vessel’s ECDIS correctly hence giving grounding protection.
